ST. CLAIRSVILLE — City police confirmed that the department received a complaint about a black bear being seen in downtown St. Clairsville early Wednesday.

Officer Andrew Gazdik said an individual spotted the animal in the area of the Belmont County Courthouse and St. Clairsville City Building. No.officers saw the bear.
