Fairview — An accident on Interstate 70 westbound has traffic backed up for about 10 miles Tuesday evening.

An Ohio State Patrol dispatcher confirms an accident occurred near mile post 198. Although no trooper from St. Clairsville were at the scene, she said they were aware that traffic was backing up as far as mile post 210. The Ohio Department of Transportation and fire department officials are handling traffic control. No further details were available at 7 p.m.
