ANDREW MESSENGER

Andrew S. Messenger, 101, of Quaker City passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at The Walton Retirement Home.

Andy was born in Monroe County, Ohio on March 15, 1917 to the late Sherman and Bertha (Ensley) Messenger.

Andy worked for the Operator Engineers and was retired from Corvat Coal.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn A. (Gray) Messenger; son, Marvin Messenger; four brothers: Jack, Frank, Lewis and Clarence Messenger; infant sister, Marjorie Messenger; and longtime companion, Leona Thompson.

Andy is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Messenger of Barnesville; daughter-in-law, Donna; grandchildren, Tina and Crystal; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. The service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 11a.m. with Jamie Helmick officiating.

Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
