KENNETH EDWARD RIDGEWAY

Kenneth Edward Ridgeway, 76, of Bethesda, Ohio, now rests in eternal peace. Born January 17, 1944, in Wheeling, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Edward and Ruth Piatt Ridgeway.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Joye and infant sister, Nancy Ridgeway.

Kenneth, who will never be forgotten and always loved, will forever be missed by those who survive; his wife of 56 years, Nana Ridgeway of Bethesda; daughter, Amy Ridgeway Glawe (Phillip) of Downers Grove, Illinois; son, Kenneth “Doug” Ridgeway (Melinda Monahan) of Grove City, Ohio; and grandchildren, Colin, Sarah, Nina, and Tyler.

A man of character, who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren, Ken was well known and loved in the community in which he lived and served. He was a firefighter in Bethesda for 15 years, was a charter member in establishing the new Bethesda Christian Church, and was very active in the monthly food bank at his church. Ken worked as a machinist for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and has had a longtime passion for model trains.

As Ken was such a caring man, to help lessen the spread of COVID, his wishes and the wishes of his family will be for private services and interment to be held.
