DONNA THOMPSON

Donna was born to the late Stanley Masloski and Agnes Nameth Masloski in Martins Ferry, Ohio. After graduating from Adena High School and attending Ohio University, she worked as Medical Technologist for the American Red Cross in blood banking for most of her career. She loved children and later received an Associate Degree in early childhood education.

After retiring in 2006, Donna became a dedicated volunteer at Atrium Heath Pineville for 10+ years where she worked in the gift shop and neonatal intensive care unit.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Thompson of Fort Mill, SC; her children, Timothy Thompson of Myrtle Beach, SC and Valerie Thompson of Rochester, NY; her siblings, Stanley Masloski (Harriet) of Dillonvale, OH and Janet Humphrey (Walter) of Clyde, NC; and her granddaughters, Haley, Sarah, and Ashley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Edward Masloski.

For Donna, family always came first. Her love for them showed in everything she did. Though small in stature, her kindness and love were overwhelming. Donna will leave a void in the hearts of her family and friends.

Donna’s visitation will be Thursday, September 15th from 6-8pm at Wolfe Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service to be held Friday, September 16th at 3pm at Saint Philip Neri Church
