CLARA JACKSON
Clara May Jackson, 75, of St. Clairsville, went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2022, at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born on May 11, 1947, a daughter of the late Allan and Jean Bowers.
Clara is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rev. John Jackson of the home; two daughters, Melissa (Mike) DiBetta of St. Clairsville and Jennifer Mattox of Blacklick; six grandchildren, Olivia DiBetta, Michael DiBetta, Hillarie Mattox, Casi DiBetta, Camille Mattox and infant John Payton Mattox who preceded her in death in 2000.
Clara is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Lamb of Pittsburgh and Janelle (Bob) Smallwood of Harrisville; brothers, Rev. Rodney (Patty) Bowers,
Karl (Shirley) Bowers of Harrisville and Nolan (Karen) Bowers who preceded her in death in 2021; there are also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Clara loved helping her husband in ministry, painting beautiful river rocks, playing her flute for church services, canoeing and much more. She loved her family deeply and was so thankful to be part of their lives. She is greatly missed and always loved.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Rodney Bowers at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with the hours for visitation on Tuesday, October 4, from 11 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville.
