She was born on April 21, 1943, in Framingham, MA the daughter of the late Virginia (Scanlon) Durbin. Ruth was a retired pharmacy technician with the former Griffith’s Pharmacy in Martins Ferry, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Martins Ferry.
