R. Laverne Stump, 84 of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Monday, June 10, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born May 4, 1940, a son of the late Alvin and Goldie (Homan) Stump in Powhatan Point, Ohio. Laverne was a highly skilled self-employed carpenter. He was sincerely respected and liked by all who met him. Laverne was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Stump, sisters Doris Chase, and Barbara Jean Kanzig.
