Lawrence V. “Larry” Hunkler, 92 of Martins Ferry, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at the East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born in Barnesville, the son of the late Dorie and Ann (Fitzgerald) Hunkler. Larry was Catholic by faith, retired from Nickle’s Bakery, and the former Wonder Bakery of Wheeling, a veteran of the US Army Korean War, member of the Bellaire VFW Post 626, Martins Ferry Legion Post #38, Cave Club of Wheeling, and a member of the Belmont County Council Color Guard.
