Lois Elaine Van Scyoc, 88, of Barnesville, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, on May 14, 2023. She was born on June 20, 1934 in Belmont County to the late Helen Gertrude and Stanley Van Scyoc. Lois was a 1952 graduate of Barnesville High School. She was owner and operator of the Green Cottage Restaurant for more than 30 years and took great pride in all her “wonderful employees”. She was a longtime member of the Bethesda Christian Church, the Belmont County Historical Society and the Belmont County Animal Rescue League.
