GERALD J. “SPIKE” HENDERSHOT

Gerald James “Spike” Hendershot, 96, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died March 21, 2023 in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born July 13, 1926, in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late James B. and Alice Schnegg Hendershot. Spike was a retired serviceman from the former Wheeling Electric, currently AEP and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion in Neffs, the CSA Lodge #310 in Bellaire and the Bridgeport Lions Club. Clarence Alex Arno passed away peacefully Friday, March 17th. He was the son of the late Jean and Ann Arno. He was born December 6, 1946 in Bellaire, Ohio. Clarence was a Vietnam veteran serving from 1966-1967. He worked at the Ormet Corporation for over 30 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Arno and sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Mark Harrigan.
