Asel Alexander “Alex” Gabel Jr., 77, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died January 16, 2023, in Wheeling Hospital. He was born February 1, 1945, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Asel A. Gabel Sr. and Kathrena I. Dorsch Gabel. Alex was a retired employee from Mantech in Fairmont, WV and a former employee of NCR in Cambridge, Ohio. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and member of First Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville. Alex enjoyed OSU Buckeyes football, golfing, swimming, gardening and working in his yard.
