Betty Lou Gordon, 96, of Martins Ferry passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at her home. She was born February 15, 1926, the daughter of the late Roy and Eleanor (Meyer) Williams. She retired from the Belmont Metropolitan Housing Authority as manager. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Martins Ferry, Fire Department Auxiliary, Elks Lodge of Martins Ferry, Park Legion Bowling League, where she served as sectary and was an Election Poll worker for many years. Bill Pertl Lovejoy of Brevard, NC died Sunday November 27th , 2022 at age 95. He was born at home in the small coal mining community of Neffs, Ohio, on February 12, 1927, the same date as two men he greatly admired, Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin.
