John J. Kovach, 90, of Shadyside, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, surrounded by family members. John was born on April 26, 1935, to the late John and Elizabeth (Strama) of Martins Ferry, Ohio. John was a retired chemical operator at Bayer Chemical and a Catholic by faith. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. John loved fishing, making wine and watching Ohio State Football.
