Douglas Ray Beekman “Beek”, age 67, of Shadyside, Ohio, passed away on August 18, 2025, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital. Born on November 12, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the beloved son of the late Harold and Hilda (Davis) Beekman. Douglas retired from his dedicated career to serving the community as the Superintendent of the Shadyside Water and Waste Water Departments, where he worked diligently for many years. He was born December 4, 1943, in Maynard, Ohio, son of the late Frank and Cecelia Stachyra Goletz. Ed was a retired railroad clerk, having worked for the Nickle Plate, Penn Central, Conrail and Norfolk Southern.
