Blame Bush

Dear Editor,

I love to read your “Opinion” page, but I would like to remind you that it was President George Bush that first said “Mission Accomplished”, not President Barack Obama; and it was President George Bush that took us into an unnecessary war for weapons of mass destruction that didn’t exist, that took the lives of over 4,000 troops and over 27,000 wounded and maimed soldiers and marines.

We will be eternally grateful for what our troops have done and are doing to support our freedom and protect our country. I know that President Barack Obama feels the same way and prays every night for them and the knowledge and wisdom to lead our country.

What we have here is a play on words. We all know the war technically isn’t over, but we like to think it is in the process.
