Local Pharmacy

Dear Editor,

Many, many patients are finding that their insurance’s require them to send their prescriptions away; this is cheaper for them. However, there is a price to be paid and that is the business is lost by the local pharmacy.

Losing customers is having the same effect as the mall did on the neighborhood stores; some of them face closure.

When the pharmacies are gone, where will you get your emergency prescriptions for antibiotics, etc.?

Who else will give you the individual care and check your prescriptions like your local pharmacy would?

I encourage everyone to continue to support the local pharmacies as much as they can so we don’t lose these assets.
