Motorcyclists

Dear Editor,

I would like to voice my concern on behalf of myself and my fellow motorcycle riders. We have just as much rights to the roadways as cars, trucks and semi trucks do.

On Thursday, Aug. 26, myself and four of my friends were on a motorcycle ride on 250 near Tappan Lake and there were two cars and semi-truck that were trying to run us off the road deliberately, however, we were not able to get license plate numbers due to the fact that we were more concerned with our own safety.

We are taxpaying citizens in our state and we are no different than those drivers are. We are only out trying to enjoy a nice motorcycle ride and yet it could have been tragic, just because there are inconsiderate people out there like those drivers were that day who think that motorcyclist doesn’t have the same privileges as they have.

So to those drivers who did that to us, on that day, what if we tried to run one of your loved ones off the road, wouldn’t you be angry, too?

Sincerely concerned,

Floyd Craig,

Belmont
