Political issues to ponder this season

Dear Editor,

Everybody that voted for President Trump knows by now that the wing dings in Congress have finally succeeded in trying to remove a duly elected president over a single phone call to Ukraine’s President that amounted to nothing.

I’m not going to go into a lot of detail about this impeachment case, because it’s as reckless as it is ridiculous.

But here are a few tidbits for you to chew on. First of all, President Obama said that no sensible person would believe that you could rig our election. However, the Democrats have convinced themselves Russia stole the election and no one is going to change their mind on this.

Meanwhile, the Democrats’ decision to replace “quid pro quo” with “bribery” is a desperate attempt to sling more mud toward our President, and hope that some of it sticks. How many times does the Ukrainian government have to repeat that there was no pressure?

If Trump gets re-elected, be on your toes because more of the same is coming. I don’t want this letter to be entirely gloomy, and it doesn’t have to be.

The Christmas season is now in full swing, and we are children of God. Get out there, and rejoice … will ya?
