Billionaires
Dear Editor,
According to the Columbus (AP) — the effort against Issue 1, called One Person One Note — raised $14.8 million in contributions while the coalition supporting the measure, called Protect our Constitution, received $4.8 million.
Take note, the big money, big change is billionaire activists from out of state and country, who are willing to spend more of their own money to enact their radical agenda to take our rights away.
These doomsday shenanigans that played out in other states have now come to Ohio. You can bet your bottom dollar that the side spending the most money on a ballot issue almost always wins.
There was never a better chance than issue 1 for Ohioans to protect the right to life and defend our constitution, but modern-day voters didn’t seize the opportunity.
At the end of the day, Ohio should be governed by our state’s legislature not by billionaires that want to treat our constitution as if it were a political football for their special interests.
