So long, Joe
Dear Editor,
It breaks my heart to say this: “So long Joe.”
Wow! What a great Presidency you have given us. Not just for the United States but for the whole world.
Joe defied the naysayers and rescued the economy against all odds and opposition. The U.S. economy leads the rest of the world, by a significant amount.
Joe brought us back from the COVID disaster. He gave us new confidence in our ability to win great battles.
Joe showed stupid Trump how to get major infrastructure legislation through Congress – -the start of rebuilding our country is well underway.
Joe is fighting off inflation that got underway by Trump’s tax cut for the benefit of only the super Rich.
Joe took on big Pharma as demonstrated by his $35 maximum for insulin, down from over $400.
Joe put money in everyone’s pocket by the The American Rescue plan.
Joe prevented the destruction of NATO that Trump would have destroyed.
Joe has had the U.S. stop the tyrant Putin from taking over the Ukraine.
Joe has impressed the historians as shown by their claiming him to be the greatest President since FDR.
I could go on and on listing Joe’s achievements as there are so many.
However, Joe we must reckon with the truth. Old age, and getting older cannot be denied. End of life is a mess and cannot be denied as it happens to all of us.
In your case, Joe, while you are living out the end of your days, just remember your mess at the end has too great a significance for everyone else – it could result in an autocratic tyrant taking control of our beloved country and destroying our 200-year-old democracy and “The Rule of Law.”
So long, Joe.
