The point

Dear Editor,

Jonathan Cahn’s THE DRAGON’S PROPHECY is a marvelous, new work putting our times into perspective. However, he does not explicitly denote the scriptures identifying Jesus prayers in Jn 17-RSV, Gethsemane–Lk 22:42-44, & on Golgotha–*Lk 23:34, Mt 27:45-46, Jn 19:30 & Lk 23:46 as being essential to becoming the Alpha & Omega incarnate to Satan’s–the Dragon’s–ultimate chagrin.–Lk 24:39, II Cor 5:14-17, Rom 5:1-6, Job 2:4-5, Ps 19:14

It is critical to wisely interpret II Cor 5:21, “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” The Hebrew word khata’ha means both sin & sin-offering (Rom 8:1-4). In God’s “Paradigm & Crucible of Freedom & Uniqueness”, Jesus was never sin in God’s eyes but only in the eyes of sinners. God never repudiated the freedom he gave to Man–both men & woman–(Gen 1:26, 5:1-2) or the authority as Judge of all (Jn 5:22) that Jesus attained existentially at his baptism & exercises to this very moment (Mt 3:15-17, Jn 1:14-18, 17:26).

On the cross, the Godhead endured the judgement of us sinners unto death in Jesus’ body of flesh thus fulfilling Jesus’ prayer in Jn 17:1c, “Father, the hour has come; glorify thy Son that the Son may glorify thee” . . . . or his words in (Jn 6:51c), “. . . the bread that I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.”-Heb 12:1-2, Col 1:19-20 As Jesus prophesied in Jn 8:28-29, “When you have lifted up the Son of man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority but speak thus as the Father taught me. And he who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what is pleasing to him.” God was pleased with *Jesus’ words of spirit & life (Jn 6:63). If God had ever averted his eyes from Jesus, Jesus would have ceased to be the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.-Jn 1:29, Lk 23:34, Jn 1:36, Mt 11:25-27

In thirty-three years & nine months, Jesus the Christ pioneered, perfected & proliferated to this very moment the Great Salvation–Jn 5:17-27, 1:9-13, Heb 2:1-4, 9-18, 1:1-4, I Jn 4:14-18–consisting of grace, faith, hope, love and reason. The point of grace is gracefulness–Eph 1:9-10, 2:8-9. The point of faith is faithfulness–Heb 12:1-2. The point of hope is hopefulness–Rom 8:18-21, Heb 6:17-20. The point of love and reason is loveliness and reasonableness–Jn 10:17-18, 37-38, Mk 12:29-31, Jn 17:26. Jesus the Christ is the first fruits of the Tree of Life (I Cor 15:20-23). “While we were yet helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.”-Rom 5:6, 3:3-4

In this light–Jn 1:4-5, 8:12–Cahn’s book is a must read.
