Union Local captures Mike Trophy with win

MORRISTOWN — The Jets completed the season sweep of rival Barnesville to win the milk trophy by scores of 25-6, 25-13 and 25-18.

Junior Torre Kildow had 19 kills, 12 digs and three assists. Keira Gregor had seven kills and 11 digs. Julie Broussard had 11 digs.

WHEELING –The Red Devils picked up a nice win on the road inside the ‘The Palace on the Hill’ with a four-set victory by scores of 13-25, 25-21, 25-17 and 25-12.

Senior Alexis Thoburn led the Devils with 16 kills, 10 digs and two aces.

Shae Brookover had 25 assists and eight digs, while Brooke Biancarelli had four kills, four digs and three aces.

Monroe Central sweeps Linsly

WOODSFIELD — The Seminoles (8-4) were just too much for invading Linsly Tuesday afternoon, posting a three set win by scores of 25-18, 25-21 and 25-11.

Leading the way for Monroe was Abby Thompson, who had seven kills and two blocks. Haylyn Hiles had four kills and five blocks, while Kynzi Bishop added four. Olivia Valkovic had nine assists, 12 points and six aces. Regan Hamilton had six assists. Kalista Friday had two aces and eight digs. Trista Morris had five digs.

sweeps Martins Ferry

WHEELING — The Purple Riders were swept for the second straight night, falling to the Maroon Knights by scores of 25-17, 25-21 and 25-21.

Leading the Riders was Hannah Meeker, who had four kills, four aces and seven digs. Kelsi Gillespie had nine digs, while Lindsay Best recorded five kills and five blocks. Lilly Masters posted three kills and four blocks.

Beallsville sweeps Madonna

BEALLSVILLE — The Blue Devils recorded another victory on Tuesday, toppling the Blue Dons, 25-21, 25-16 and 25-19.

Fueling the Beallsville attack was Kaylee Hagan, who had six kills, six digs and three aces.

Kinley Hughes added seven assists and four digs.

RAYLAND — The Panthers continued their solid season by toppling Martins Ferry, 167-195 on Tuesday.

Aiden Polanski led the Panthers — and the field — with a round of 1-over 37. Just a shot behind him was Jacob Berry.
