Kinyo leads Buckeye Local to victory in Cadiz
CADIZ — Kamden Kinyo fired a 37 to lead Buckeye Local to a pair of wins in a triangular high school golf match Tuesday on the sun-baked Cadiz Country Club layout.
The Panthers finished with a team score of 180, which was eight strokes better than Harrison Central. Toronto was third with 196.
Purple Riders Shine
At Bec-Wood Hills
RAYLAND — Martins Ferry finished with the lowest team total out of five teams at an OVGL match at Bec-Wood Hills on Tuesday.
Martins Ferry tallied a 155 to come out ahead against Barnesville, Union Local, Shadyside and River.
The Purple Riders’ counted the day’s medalist among their ranks, as Noaln Zambori finished one below Par with a 35.
He clocked three birdies on holes one, four and seven. Hunter Shutler carded a 39, Connor Best carded a 40, and both Michael Green and Dylan Pielech each totaled 41 strokes to reach Ferry’s total.
Barnesville finished with the second-lowest total at 157. Hayden Treadyway had a strong outing, shooting a 36 to lead the Shamrocks.
Union Local was next at 178. Paxton Gentile’s 43 was tops on the team.
Shadyside finished at 181 as a team, with Gavin Nelson leading the way with a 43.
River totaled a 190, and were led by Gauge Bayes, who carded a 45.

River Wins vs. Bellaire
BELLAIRE — The Pilots needed four sets to best the Big Reds on Tuesday, winning on the road, 25-12, 22-25, 25-18, 25-9.
Maci Isaly led River with 10 kills, and had her team’s second-highest assists (13) and digs (12).
Zoey Fox tallied 19 assists, while Aubrey Fetty had 13 digs. Mallaire Maddy finished with eight kills, while Hallie Hammel finished with six.
