Kinyo Sets Buckeye Local Bec-Wood Record

RAYLAND — Buckeye Local’s Kamden Kinyo set a new school record for a new low-score at Bec-Wood Hills Golf Course on Thursday, breaking his own record for the course that he’d set the day before.

After carding a one-under-Par on Wednesday, Kinyo shot two-under on Thursday to lead the Panthers to a 164-181 victory over Edison. He birdied hole five, and clinched the record by birdieing the final two holes, eight and nine, as well.

Dugan Dobrovich shot a 38, and Jacob Porter and John Frank each carded 46’s for the Panthers’ winning effort. The Panthers finish the regular season at 16-6 and begin Sectional Play at Cadiz Country Club on Monday.

The school’s overall low-score record is -3 (32) shot by both Chris Frye and Eric Wilson in 1993 at the old Mazeroski’s Golf Course in Tiltonsville.
