CADIZ – St. Clairsville took a giant step towards its seventh consecutive Buckeye 8 boys’ golf championship Monday during wet conditions at the par-72 Cadiz Country Club. The Red Devils shot a four-player total of 2-over par 290 to take a 13-shot advantage over second-place Union Local. Martins Ferry sits in third with a score of 310, followed by Beaver Local (321) and Barnesville (345) to round out the top 5 teams. WHEELING – The Wheeling Nailers are excited to announce their 11th player signing of the 2026 offseason. Wheeling has re-signed forward Craig Armstrong to an ECHL contract. Armstrong, returns for his second season with the Nailers and his third year as a pro. Craig saw a drastic increase in his production from his rookie year to his sophomore season, as his point total nearly doubled with Wheeling.
