Nailers Extend Qualifying Offers To Eight Players

WHEELING – The Wheeling Nailers have announced their list of players who received qualifying offers for the summer of 2026. Eight players were tendered qualifying offers for Wheeling. Each team was entitled to reserve the rights to a maximum of eight qualified players. Players on open qualifying offers cannot be traded. The qualifying offer must remain open for acceptance until 11:59 p.m. on July 22, at which time the qualifying offer becomes null and void and the team may sign the qualified player to any salary or may elect to take no further action. The fifth annual Nick Gaudino Memorial Youth Golf Tournament will be held at noon on Thursday, July 16 at the Bloch Memorial Golf Course at Wheeling Park. This competition is part of continued efforts to promote youth golf for boys and girls in the Ohio Valley and is offered in cooperation with the Wheeling Park Commission and Dan Ackerman and his staff at Oglebay Resort.
