As of 9 p.m. Tuesday, the Ohio Secretary of State’s website is reporting election results that indicate State Issue 1 Elevating the Standards to Qualify for an Initiated Constitutional Amendment and to Pass a Constitutional Amendment is being rejected by voters. Unofficial vote totals at that time were: NO – 691,730 (62.22%) … YES – 420,040 (37.78%).
Polls closed at 7:30 p.m.
Results are unofficial until the Secretary of State certifies the results of the election. The official canvass is completed approximately three weeks after the conclusion of the election, and results will be released following the office's review of the county boards of elections' official canvass reports.
