Joseph William Matoszkia, 85, of Shadyside, Oh passed away on Tuesday October 8, 2024.

He was born on January 1, 1939 in Bellaire, Oh, the son of the late Pauline (Manulow) and William Matoszkia.

Joseph was a lifetime member of the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church, 105 Moriah Lodge, Masonic Lodge of Wheeling, Indian Patrol, Arab Patrol, Shiners, Masonic Blue Lodge and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandsons and traveling.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sherril Matoszkia; son, Michael (Kristi) Matoszkia; brother, James (Kathy) Matoszkia; sisters, Brenda Duvall, Patricia Miller; grandchildren, Kaleb (Olivia) Matoszkia, Kyle (Lindsey) Matoszkia and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Monday October 14, at the Bauknecht- Altmeyer Funeral Home 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, OH from 10 AM until time of service at 12 PM. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Lincoln Ave. Methodist Church, 3838 Lincoln Ave. Shadyside, Oh 43947.
