At 7:36 a.m. Friday, an officer on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 westbound near exit 220 in Pease Township issued a warning to a motorist for an equipment violation.
At 10:43 p.m. Thursday, a sergeant responded to a report of a vehicle left unattended with its lights on and heavy front-end damage in the parking lot of Kroger in the Ohio Valley Plaza, St. Clairsville. The officer reportedly located the motorist, a female with a valid Florida operator’s license.
At 9:48 p.m. Thursday, a caller from an address on Boyd Avenue in Bridgeport reported hearing four to five shots and popping noises in the area. An officer patrolled the area, but found nothing.
At 9:30 p.m. Thursday, a caller from High Ridge Road in Bellaire reported that a neighbor was burning, and she was afraid he was going to leave and that the fire would catch her house on fire. A request was made to the fire department. The officer could not find anyone around, and the fire was near the wood line, the report indicated.
At 5 p.m. Thursday, the Ohio State Highway Patrol requested assistance with a complaint on Interstate 470 westbound in Pultney Township. A semi truck had a car stopped, and the truck driver was pounding on a female’s window, according to the report.
At 4:52 p.m. Thursday, an officer responded to a report of an “unwell deer” at an address on Colerain Pike. The deer was put down, according to the report.
At 3:50 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported that a fight was happening at an address on Patterson Hill Road in Bellaire. Units responded. A female who was assaulted requested an EMS. Everyone was separated after being advised that if officers had to return, someone would be going to jail.
At 2:57 p.m. Thursday, a caller from Sycamore Street in Powhatan Point reported that someone made threats to her life. The caller said her boyfriend owns the house. She was advised of the eviction process, according to the report.
At 12:22 p.m. Thursday, the Ohio State Highway Patrol requested assistance at Interstate 470 westbound in Pultney Township where two truck drivers were fighting, the report stated. An accident reportedly took place in West Virginia. Wheeling police also came to the scene. A driver did not wish to file assault charges, officers noted.

At. 12:06 a.m., officers made a traffic stop on Ohio 7 for a traffic violation. Officers identified the driver and verified they were valid and gave them a warning for their violation.
At 12:16 a.m., officers made a traffic stop on Ohio 7 for a vehicle with an expired registration. The driver was identified and cited for expired registration.
At 1:54 a.m., an officer assisted Bridgeport Police Department with searching a vehicle involved in a hit and run incident.
At 4:34 a.m., officers made a traffic stop that ended up in McDonald’s parking lot for driving with no tail lights. The driver was identified and found to be valid. A warning was given to the driver.
At 7:13 a.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Ohio 7 and Mackey Avenue. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a light pole owned by the state of Ohio. Martins Ferry Fire, EMS and the Ohio Department of Transportation were called to the scene. The driver refused treatment by EMS. The driver was cited for OVI and failure to control.
At 9:31 a.m., officers responded to the Columbus Avenue area for a vehicle striking a commercial truck doing tree work in the area. Officers arrived and contacted everyone involved. The driver of the vehicle’s sister came on scene to take him with her. Information for a report was taken.
At 9:54 a.m., dispatch received a parking complaint on North Fourth Street about a vehicle parked on the road with no registration. Officers arrived and identified the owner, but negative contact was made. The vehicle was towed for the violation.
At 10:16 a.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol called dispatch to assist in finding metal debris on Ohio 7 southbound near the Picoma exit. Officers arrived and spoke to two motorists who were stopped in the area. They informed officers they removed what appeared to be a fender from a semi-truck. Officers cleared.
At 2:23 p.m., officers were called to East Ohio Regional Hospital about a male who refused to leave the hospital until he saw the owner. Officers arrived and made contact with the male, who stated he is an investor and wants to speak to the owner about his investment with East Ohio Regional Hospital. Contact with the owner was made by phone for this male by employees of the hospital. He then left. Officers cleared.
At 2:53 p.m., a followup with Jaycee Manor was done about the accident that was near the apartments. Officers reviewed cameras that showed the vehicle striking the commercial vehicle.
At 3:25 p.m., officers were called to the car wash on the corner of North Fifth and Hanover streets about a minor accident. Officers gathered information for this report, and all parties refused EMS.
At 3:40 p.m., an officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle near the corner of North Eighth and Hanover streets for improper display of registration and a turn signal violation. Contact was made, and everything was explained to the driver and passenger. A warning for these violations was given.
At 4:59 p.m., a female called dispatch about wanting to report she is being harassed by a male. Officers responded to the South Eighth Street address and spoke with the caller. The suspect left before officers got there. Statements were taken, and charges will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for possible charges.
At 5:24 p.m., officers responded to Ohio 7 near Aetna Street for a disabled vehicle. Officers arrived and had negative contact. Officers looked north and south on Ohio 7 with no contact. Officers cleared.
At 5:27 p.m., dispatch received a call about a white Cadillac driving south on Ohio 7 near Picoma exit at a high rate of speed. Officers observed a vehicle matching the description and made contact with them. The driver admitted he may have been going a little fast and will slow it down.
At 5:59 p.m., a female came on station to talk about her son and his girlfriend causing issues at her residence. The female wanted to have a restraining order put in place but stated there was no domestic violence incident. It was explained to her about other ways she can go about this. She was also advised if she does not want them at her house to call police.
At 6:04 p.m., officers made a traffic stop on Clinton Street. The driver was identified and cited for expired registration.
At 6:39 p.m., officers responded to a neighbor complaint on Ellett Street. Contact was made with all parties. Neighbors were all advised to try and get along and if there are future issues to call the PD.
At 8:11 p.m., officers went to an address on Grant Avenue to attempt to serve a warrant out of Belmont County on a male. Negative contact at this address.
At 8:20 p.m., officers went to an address on Hill Street to serve a warrant out of Belmont County on a male. Negative contact was made.
At 8:33 p.m., officers went to a Grant Avenue address and contacted a male who has an active warrant out of Belmont County. The warrant was confirmed, and the male was transported to Belmont County Jail.
At 9:35 p.m., officers responded to Clay Street about an intoxicated male in the area. The male was located and had a head injury and believed he fell. EMS was called to the scene.
At 10:30 p.m., officers went to a known address on Seabrights Lane where a male with a warrant is known to be. Negative contact was made.
At 10:37 p.m., officers were advised by a citizen that a male who has a warrant out of Belmont County is staying at an apartment in Jaycee Manor. Officers went to this apartment and made contact with this male. The warrant was confirmed, and the male was transported to Belmont County Jail.
At 10:55 p.m., officers went to an address on Aetna Street for a male with a warrant. Negative contact was made.
At 11:08 p.m., officers made a traffic stop on Ohio 7 on a vehicle that had no lights on. The driver and passenger were identified and found to be valid. The driver gave consent to search with negative findings. The driver was issued a warning for the no headlights/taillights.
