At 11:53 p.m. Tuesday, a 911 hangup call was received from a residence on Old Winding Hill Road in Bellaire. An officer made contact with residents, who stated they believed they were having issues with the cellphone.
At 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, an officer was out in a special detail performing a welfare check at an address on Sidon Road in Colerain.
At 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, an officer responded to a report of an unresponsive male at an address on Kinsman Road in Maynard – possibly an overdose. The emergency medical service set a time of death at 7:30 p.m., according to the report.
At 5:03 p.m. Tuesday, a complainant on Somerton Highway in Somerton flagged down an officer and advised him about a young looking male carrying a long gun. The complainant gave a description of the male, but the officer did not locate him.
At 9:48 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious vehicle at an address on Morristown Street in Flushing. The caller stated that there should not be anyone there. Deputies responded. The truck in question belonged to a visitor to the neighbor, and the vehicle was to be moved.
At 7:56 a.m. Tuesday, a caller requested a well check on her ex-husband and kids. A deputy responded. The complainant called back and said she spoke with the family — they just overslept. Deputies canceled.

Sunday, March 16
12:34 a.m. — A caller in the 1800 block of North Ninth Street called because of hearing her neighbors screaming and yelling. Officers made contact with two people, who said they were arguing but it was all verbal. Both parties were advised to knock it off and if called back they both would be cited. Officers then cleared.
1:51 a.m. — Officers assisted a Bridgeport unit on a traffic stop. A K-9 was called in and a search of the vehicle was done. Officers then cleared.
2:13 a.m. — Dispatch received a call from a male in the 1400 block of Colerain Pike who stated a female came on his porch and said she was in an accident down the road and was complaining of head pain. Officers arrived and made contact with this female and a passenger. Martins Ferry EMS was called to the scene and transported the female. Naylor Brothers Towing was called and towed this vehicle. Officers obtained information for a crash report. Officers cleared.
4:42 a.m. — Officers assisted Bridgeport on a stop on Hanover Street. Officers cleared.
5:24 a.m. — Officers assisted a Bridgeport unit on Main Street with an intoxicated juvenile. Officers then cleared.
5:37 a.m. — Dispatch received calls about bushes on Ohio 7 blocking the road near Hanover Street. Officers arrived and removed the bushes.
9:40 a.m. — Officers were called to Border Lane about a tree across the road. The service director was called to call out a city crew to cut and remove the tree. The city then removed the tree to open the road.
10:15 a.m. — A female came on station because of a custody issue. She was advised she needed to contact her attorney.
11:56 a.m. — Dispatch received a call from a resident on Locust Street who wanted to report he found a dog running loose. The dog was described as a Lab breed and very friendly. Officers retrieved the dog and transported it to the kennels. The owner called shortly after and was able to retrieve his dog.
12:10 p.m. — Dispatch received a call from a male in the area of South FIfth Street and Clay Street about a transformer having sparks coming from it. Officers went to this area and made contact with the caller, who stated it had stopped sparking. Officers advised if they see this again to call the PD.
1:12 p.m. — Dispatch received a call from a female on West Vine Street asking how she could get a male out of her residence. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to both parties. Officers found out that the male does live there and advised the caller what she needed to do. The female agreed to leave while the male packed his clothes. The female was advised what needed to be done. Officers cleared.
1:51 p.m. — Officers on patrol were flagged down about a missing husky breed dog in the area of West Vine Street. Dispatch stated they have not had any reports of a husky running loose. Dispatch noted this call and took the owner’s name and number in case reports are received.
2:17 p.m. — Officers were called to the alley between North Fifth and North Fourth streets about parts of a roof coming off due to the wind. Officers responded and had dispatch contact the owner of the property. Contact was made, and the owner will respond and take care of the problem. Officers cleared.
7:27 p.m. — Officers were called to assist Martins Ferry EMS with a possible overdose on North Third Street.
8:30 p.m. — Officers were out with a Bridgeport unit on a traffic stop in the area of Aetna Street. Officers cleared.
9:17 pm Officers made a traffic stop on Aetna Street. The driver and passenger were identified. A warning was given to the driver for speed.
11:17 p.m. — Officers assisted Bridgeport units on a traffic stop on Aetna Street. The driver was found to have a warrant and was transported by Bridgeport units. Officers cleared.
