RUDOLPH PEARL

Rudolph “Rudy” Pearl, age 90, formerly of Yorkville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in Dublin, Ohio, reuniting with the Lord and his loved ones who went before him. He was born on October 19, 1934, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, Rudy was the beloved son of the late Fred and Alice (Kish) Pearl. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Pearl.

Rudy proudly served his country as an SP3 in the Army Signal Corps. He then dedicated his professional years of service to Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, from which he retired.

He is survived by his devoted wife and childhood sweetheart, Frances Bell Pearl, with whom he shared nearly 65 joyful years of marriage. Rudy was a cherished father and girl-dad to Mary Beth Pearl of Columbus, Meg Ann Noble (Chris) of Powell, and Susan Thompson (Brad) of Bradenton, Florida. Nothing brought Rudy greater joy than his grandchildren, who knew him lovingly as “PaPa”: Natalie Noble (Mark Flis), William Pavlovic (Sara Veliaj), and Emily Noble (Cameron Cox). He treasured every moment with them and was a constant, loving presence in their lives.

Rudy’s retirement years were filled with family–vacations, holiday gatherings, and countless sunny days spent by the pool with those he loved most. He had a deep love for music and never missed a chance to sing along to his favorite Frank Sinatra tunes, often leading spontaneous sing-alongs that became treasured family traditions. Rudy was also a die-hard Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Rudy and celebrate his life on Thursday, May 22nd, from 4–7 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, Ohio, with a vigil at 5pm.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Friday 10 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Cross, officiating.

Interment will follow at Upland Cemetery, Yorkville, Ohio.

Rudy Pearl will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his warm heart, his song-filled spirit, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. The family would like to thank the Dublin Retirement Village staff and Capital City Hospice staff for their love and caring support. They said Rudy was the life of the party!
