Players from the Country Toads, Kings Lacrosse Club and Panhandlers, pictured after the 3rd Mountain State Lacrosse Classic, which took place on Saturday, July 25 at 16th Street Field. The event raised over $2,000, more than the year prior, to support the Wheeling Phantoms, a Wheeling-area youth lacrosse organization. As part of the day’s events, the Toads, Kings Lacrosse Club and Panhandlers played in a round robin tournament, with the Toads defending last year’s crown by defeating Kings Lacrosse Club. New to the event this year was a high school prospect showcase, which was attended by coaches from Washington and Jefferson, Wheeling University, and Franciscan University, who helped run drills and scrimmages.
