River track teams boast solid mix of veterans and newcomers

HANNIBAL – The River Pilots track team features a solid mix of veterans and newcomers as Coach Mike Flannery begins yet another season at the helm.

BOYS

The Pilots boast a roster that includes seven lettermen.

They are Trenton Bittinger (sprints), Kabel Isaly (hurdles, sprints), Zach Lively (distance), Clee Mitchell (sprints), Maddox Mozena (sprints), Wyatt Ramsay (sprints) and Carson Romick (distance).

Those in search of their first letter are Nate Fletcher (distance), Matt Gregg (throws), Hunter Horton (sprints), Ty Long (sprints, throws), Brandon Miller (sprints), Kam Potts (sprints, distance), Chase Sibert (distance, throws), River Thompson (distance), Ian Wohnhas (sprints) and Zeke Zola (throws).

GIRLS

The Pilots will be led by sophomore Mara Beard, who is one of the top returning distance runners in the area. She’ll be joined in those races by Camryn Caldwell.

Other returning letter winners are Tori Headley (sprints), Chloe Honeycutt (sprints, jumps) and Karsyn McVey (throws).

The newcomers are Hope Fluharty (sprints), Briella Grimes (hurdles, sprints), Emily Huffman (sprints), Alivia Lee (sprints), Lauren Maggi (sprints), Kiera Saksa (hurdles, sprints), Cadie Stalder (sprints), Meighan Straub (distance) and Kali Weese (distance).
