Police have always collected data
Dear Editor,
“Ohio police must collect traffic stop data.” Officers must now collect data on the race and gender of people they pull over in traffic stops or take aside for questioning. This was a policy in many agencies across the country for years, until the American Civil Liberties Union complained that it was racist. You cannot have it both ways.
