WHEELING — Officials from the Wheeling Park Commission provided details about plans to bring major improvements to Oglebay’s Wilson Lodge and Good Zoo with financing made available through a $12 million revenue bond, which Wheeling City Council approved last week. A caller was reportedly assaulted by her husband and was able to go to her neighbor’s house to call 911. CONNORVILLE —The Buckeye Local Junior High School Student Council is observing Red Ribbon Week to bring attention to the effects of drug, alcohol and tobacco use. Activities are set throughout the week of Oct. 27-31 and include themed dress-up days and regular highlights to help spread awareness among youth.
