Grand jury indicts nine

STEUBENVILLE — An Irondale man who allegedly broke another man’s jaw in a fit of road rage and another accused of robbing a man at knifepoint were among the nine people indicted Wednesday by the Jefferson County grand jury. Lester Elmer Russell of 9 Mound St., Irondale, was ordered by grand jurors to stand trial on a charge of felonious assault. Russell, 64, allegedly broke another driver’s jaw in two places on Aug. 2. Ohio State Highway Patrol investigating fatal crash

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Ohio State Highway Patrol St. Clairsville Post is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred at about 9:12 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 250 near Milepost 3 in Colerain Township. Preliminary findings reveal that a 2017 Jeep Compass, driven by Frank M. Kuatv, 83, of Adena, was traveling west on U.S. 250 when it veered off the left side of the road and collided with a house. STEUBENVILLE — Four graduates of Franciscan University of Steubenville and its predecessor, the College of Steubenville, were recognized for their accomplishments in a variety of areas during the school’s annual Alumni Awards Banquet Friday.
