Compensate disabled veterans fairly

Dear Editor, Our disabled veterans are grossly under compensated and have been for generations. This is most especially true for our totally and permanently disabled veterans. Our disabled veterans have been asking Congress for fair and adequate compensation since the end of World War I (1918). That was a 103 years ago. Where is it? In 2022 a totally disabled veteran with no dependents is compensated at the ridiculous rate of $39,984.72 dollars annually. Dear Editor, Ohio loses five people every day to suicide and, in the wake of these deaths, families and friends are left with the numbing pain and never-ending grief that no one should have to endure. I am one of those people. I lost my father, Jerry Williams, almost 11 years ago to suicide. The pain of that loss walks with me daily. Dear Editor, Is someone pulling your supply chain? Having driven over-the-road for 12 years and over a million miles, I know federal and state DOT laws have dumbed down our ability to deliver. Before, a driver could log the posted state speed limit, say 65 m.p.h., times the hours driven, say, 10 hours, equals 650 allowable driven miles. Dear Editor, Over 2 million Americans live with limb loss or limb difference, but two-thirds won’t receive a prosthetic device.
