Government failure

Dear Editor, Our government is failing America in so many ways I can not mention them all! If people are illegally entering your house, you lock the doors, right? Instead this administration is leaving them wide open and in the most recent account they are assisting these illegals. And contrary to previous attempts to push the women and children mantra, this last group was exclusively all grown adult males! They were given packets with documents and taxpayers money and these illegals, who are untested and unvaccinated, sent by commercial travel all over the country! Many never to be ...

Enrollment on the decline

Ohio has a new school-based concern: decreased enrollment. In an Ohio Capital Journal report, Interim Superintendent of Public Instruction Stephanie Siddens said decreases in enrollment for the school years of 2019-20 and 2020-21 were expected, but it still is a problem. Total enrollment was down 3%, and about half of the numbers were pre-school and kindergarten-aged students, according to the Capital Journal. The number of students being home schooled increased 25%. Dear Editor, I pity the person who doesn’t understand nor studies history. What we are seeing today is historical in nature, especially in those countries which were overthrown by a small group of ruthless radicals who believed in their cause. Russia in 1917 comes to mind. China in the late 1940s is another. A small group of bolsheviks in Russia and communist in China enslaved the populations of entire nations and murdered millions of people. Dear Editor, Biden’s disgraceful rhetoric and emotionally overcharged plea to “save our democracy” (Atlanta, Jan. 11) is an infuriating insult since the very legislation he pushes will indeed destroy our democracy.
