The Belmont Hills Country Club tournament schedule resumed last weekend with the Spring 6-6-6 event, competing with two flights. The duo of Larry Landtiser and Rennie Minor teamed for the victory with a round of 63. They were two shots better than Zach Azallion and J.C. Thrash, who posted a round of 65. Bellaire’s Dunfee leads Georgia team to state baseball title

BELLAIRE — Baseball has been a major part of Mike Dunfee’s life. After a couple of near misses, the 1993 Bellaire High grad has reached the pinnacle in the diamond sport. Dunfee is head baseball coach at Gordon Lee High School in Chickamauga, Ga. The Trojans last week pocketed the Class A state championship. OHSAA membership vote alters transfer rule

COLUMBUS — The Ohio High School Athletic Association’s membership has officially spoken. The transfer bylaw is changing once again. The results of referendum voting, which went on during the first two weeks of this month, were announced Wednesday, and if you’re considering transferring schools, you may want to re-think it. Effective Wednesday, anyone who transfers schools — without one of the 11 OHSAA exceptions — becomes ineligible for the second half of the season and postseason. OFF THE TEE: Two-man scramble set for Brooke Hills Park

A relatively new, but popular golf scramble, is back on the calendar and currently accepting players. The second annual Two-Man Scramble to benefit “Dream Big After School Music Program” will be held at Brooke Hills Park. The scramble will be held on Saturday, June 30 at Brooke Hills Park. The entry fee is $50 per team and that includes breakfast and lunch after the round. There will be prizes for the top two teams as well as closest to the pins. WOODSFIELD -- Working at a job for 50 years is remarkable. Coaching football for that length is really hard to fathom. But coaching football was never a chore for Jay Circosta.
