Drama-Filled Women's Final At Wimbledon Earns Record Viewership On ESPN

LONDON (AP) — Helped by some mid-match drama, the Wimbledon final between Linda Noskova and Karolina Muchova over the weekend was ESPN’s most-watched women’s championship match at the grass-court Grand Slam. The all-Czech final, during which Noskova wasted five match points and a 5-2 lead in the second set before eventually winning 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 on Saturday, averaged 1.9 million viewers. The Ohio Valley Baseball League’s championship series is set as No. 2 Bethany will meet No. 4 Barton in the best-of-5 format, starting with Game 1 on Friday night at Bethany College. This is a rematch of last year’s finals won by the Braves in five games. The remainder of the series will proceed as follows: Game 2 – Sunday at Barton, 3 p.m. Game 3 – Monday at Bethany, 6 p.m. Game 4 – Wednesday at Barton, 6 p.m., if needed Game 5 – Thursday at Bethany, 6 p.m., if needed Bethany won the season series 3-1.
