Tom and Beth Schofield of Shadyside announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Lynn, to Christopher Clifford, son of Christian and Karen Clifford of Hilliard, Ohio.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Shadyside High School and a 2011 graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in English literature. She is employed at Cooper State Bank in Columbus, Ohio.

Her fiance is a 2006 graduate of Hilliard-Darby High School and plans to graduate from Ohio State University in 2014 with a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. He is employed as a graduate assistant in the Gas Dynamic and Turbulence Lab at OSU.

A Sept. 2 wedding is planned.
