MR. AND Mrs. Bill Wilder of Cadiz announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth, to James Michael Hawthorne, son of Jim Hawthorne of Cadiz and Lisa Butler Brashear of Traverse City, Md.

The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Harrison Central High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Mount Union. She is employed with Harrison Hills City School District as the junior/senior high business teacher, volleyball coach and assistant girls basketball coach.

Her fiance is a 2001 graduate of Harrison Central High School and attended Heidelberg College. He is employed through the West Virginia Laborers Local 1149.

A Sept. 28 wedding is planned at the United Methodist Church in Adena.
