Reed and Sherry Bender of Wheeling announce the engagement of their daughter, Abrielle Bender to Cristopher “Pec” Schmitt, the son of Robert and Jennifer Schmitt of Belmont.

The bride-to-be is a 2009 graduate of Wheeling Park High School. She will graduate in 2014 with her bachelor’s degree in education from Bethany College.

Her fiance is a 2006 graduate of Union Local High School. He graduated in 2010 from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in business. He is employed by Ohio University Auxilaries and works at the eastern campus.

A May 24, 2014 wedding is planned.
