Jim and Karen Brown of Barnesville announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Brown, to Ryan Milburn, son of Rick and Connie Milburn of Bethesda.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Barnesville High School and a 2012 graduate of Belmont College, with an associate’s degree in child development. She is currently employed at Creative Learning in St. Clairsville.

Her fiance is a 2006 graduate of Union Local High School and a 2011 graduate of Belmont College, with an associate’s degree in nursing. He is currently employed at Wheeling Hospital as a Registered Nurse.

An Aug. 30 wedding is planned.
