Chris and Velvet Weekley of Barnesville would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Vanessa Lynn Weekley, to Christopher Lloyd Baker, son of Carla Baker and grandson of Doris Baker and the late Ralph Baker of Bethesda.

The bride-to-be is a 2007 graduate of Barnesville High School and a 2012 graduate of Belmont College with a degree in nursing. She is employed by Medi Home Health Hospice.

Her fiance is a 2004 graduate of Barnesville High School and a 2008 graduate of Devry University with a bachelor’s degree in networks and communication management. He is employed by The Ohio State Highway Patrol.

An April wedding is planned in Savannah, Ga.
