MR. AND Mrs. Joseph Michael Sperlazza of Steubenville announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Niccole, to Michael Joseph, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Michael Shank of Dillonvale.

The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Indian Creek High School and a 2009 graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in middle childhood education. She also graduated from Malone University in December with her master’s degree in school counseling. She is employed by the Indian Creek School District as a fourth grade math and science teacher and plans to pursue a doctorate in education.

Her fiance is a 2002 graduate of Buckeye Local High School and graduated from Belmont College in 2010 with an associate’s degree in welding and fabrication. He is employed by the Plumbers and Pipefitter Local Union 495.

A June 6 wedding is being planned at the Wintersville United Methodist Church.
