Michael and Barbara Chesla of Cadiz announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Chesla, to Billy Birney, son of Barbara and the late Wilbur Birney of Jewett.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Harrison Central High School and a 2006 graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor of science degree in marketing. She is employed as a phlebotomist at Harrison Community Hospital and is also employed at Capraro’s Restaurant in Hopedale.

Her fiance is a 2000 graduate of Harrison Central High School. He is employed as a licensed auctioneer at Kiko Company.

A June wedding is planned.
