Jessica Marie Swope and Eric Christopher Novick were united in marriage on July 12, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Chapel at St. Francis University in Loretto, Pa. The Rev Joseph Lehman officiated the double ring ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Karen and Galen Swope of Cresson, Pa. Parents of the groom are Victor and Vicki Novick of Glen Dale.

Jessica Sylvester served as matron of honor, and Bobby Herron served as best man. Other attendants included Sarah Barlick, Mallory Becker, Jamie Orr, Lindsay Kallas, Amanda Ronan, Shayna Saldana, Anthony Montes, Matthew Novick, Shane Novick, Joshua Swope, Dave Bland and Bill Harmon.

A reception followed at the Blair County Convention Center.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Penn Cambria High School, a 2009 graduate of St. Francis University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary/special education and a 2012 graduate of Clarion University with a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. She is an elementary special education teacher at Mill Creek Towne Elementary School in Derwood, Md.

Her husband is a 2005 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and a 2009 graduate of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a Naval Auditor for the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C.

After a honeymoon on a Southern Caribbean cruise, the couple reside in Germantown, Md.
