Myser and Davies take on new partner
BRIDGEPORT — Adam Myser is the newest partner in the law firm of Myser and Davies.
The Bridgeport law firm has been in general practice since its founding by the Thomas brothers, Michael and Harold, in 1952.
Multiple common pleas court judges and county court judges have gotten their start at the law firm. These include Belmont County Eastern Division Court Judge Al Davies and Common Pleas Judge Frank Fregiato.
“It is an honor to be a partner in a law firm with such history. As the landscape, economy and issues facing Belmont County have changed in the last 65 years, our law firm has been able to adapt, advise and handle those evolving issues. My hope is that this law firm will continue to be a guiding light for its community in the future.”
Myser credits his mentors and fellow partners, especially his father, for the firm’s success.
“It has been such an enlightening and humbling experience to learn my vocation from my father, Richard Myser. Throughout my life he has always supported me and been my coach. Now I get his support and coaching from the neighboring office. I am lucky to have the opportunity to learn my craft from such a well-respected attorney who is also my father.”
Myser also thanked Davies for his help and advice.
“Judge Davies has been an incredible teacher. He takes the time to explain matters thoroughly, listen to my questions and provide support while allows me to make decisions.”
Myser graduated from the University of Akron in 2010 with a bachelor of science in business administration/marketing and finance. He received his juris doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law in the spring of 2013 and his license to practice law in Ohio in the fall of 2013. He has since been employed by Myser and Davies as an associate and has graduated to the rank of partner.
He added that he looks forward to expanding his clientele and workload.
“At this point, I’m very young in my career and I’ve decided to continue to learn the craft and the vocation of the practice of law,” he said. “My responsibilities will increase.”
“We welcome Adam coming onboard,” said Richard Myser. “It’s always a joy to be able to have your son work with you when you’re practicing law.”
Adam Myser currently focuses his practice on criminal law, real estate law and domestic relations law. He resides in St. Clairsville with his wife, Sara Myser, and daughter, Rory. The family is expecting another baby in May. Myser is also a member of the Thoburn United Methodist Church, president pro tem of the St. Clairsville Rotary Club and board member of Valley Hospice.
